DIY Clever Organization

I Love this clever and inexpensive DIY idea to organize a room with wall storage boxes. These are old wood crates that are painted with a variety of different colors inside and then hung on the wall as storage. What a Simple, Creative and Easy DIY project for any room in your home. Love it! Let’s get organized!

Party Perfect Cocktail Hour

I LOVE this concept for a wedding, party or celebration. A nice eclectic mix of the old with the new…it’s simply chic and charming with every detail from the lighting to the linen bar and ottomans to the punch of hot pink as the accent color that is carried throughout the design. Hmmm…this makes me what to start planning my next party!

Succulents Galore

Ok…so everyone who knows me well knows that I do not like to cook and I do not have a green thumb. However, I am obsessed with succulents and using them in all aspects of design from centerpieces, to sprinkles throughout my home to wall gardens.  The texture, shape and color is amazing and breathes life into any space.  The other great thing about succulents of course is that they are from the Cacti family meaning they store water and need very little making it virtually impossible for someone like myself to drown or dry them out.  They are the only plants that survive and thrive in my house so if you need a little color and greenery in any room of your home think succulents!

Let Color Punch in a Room

As a designer I am passionate about mixing the old with the new. I also love to use a simple white or neutral palette and then add a strong punch of color and pattern as an accent to a room. These are both great examples demonstrating how to do that! Notice how the designer also added the yellow accent to the wall on the built in bookcase? It’s the little details like this that take design to a whole new level and bind color to your space.  The details make an ordinary room, extraordinary quickly turning it from Drab to Fab! LOVE it!!
